Section #10: Comparison of Bible Versions and the English Word HELL

This section shows the different ways the English word HELL was used by translators for several of the most popular English Bibles. Each column represents a particular Bible version while each row indicates a separate bible verse. The X's indicate which Bible version has HELL as the translation in a particular bible verse. It is interesting to note that the translators of most of the newer bible versions decided that the English word HELL belonged in the New Testament but not the Old Testament. I used a computer program called PC Bible Study along with internet bible search engines to compile the first 11 translations. The remaining bible versions with an asterisk next to them where supplied by someone else and I haven't been able to check them out for myself yet.
